Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-14

78 Branches LLC ("78 Branches", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

  • Order information you provide at checkout — your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number (if you give one), and what you ordered. Checkout is run by Shopify. Payment card details are entered directly into Shopify's checkout and are never stored on our servers.
  • Email signups. When you join our list ("Join Our Branches") we keep your email address, the date, and which part of the site you signed up from.
  • Contact messages. When you use the contact form we keep your name, email address, and message so we can reply. Messages you send to our email address are kept in our email account.
  • Your cart. To remember your cart between pages and visits, your browser stores a cart identifier and the number of items in it (see Cookies below).
  • Usage and device information. Pages visited and general device and browser details, collected through Shopify's analytics to help us improve the site. Our servers also log technical request details, including your IP address, for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
  • Find Your Branch quiz. Your answers are used to show you a result in your browser. We don't link them to your name or email. We count anonymous events, such as how many quizzes are completed, to see what's working.

How We Use Information

  • To process and fulfill orders, arrange shipping, and give customer support.
  • To reply to your messages and requests.
  • To send news, new-branch releases, and offers by email if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site and our products, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with service providers that help us run the store, and only as needed for them to do that work:

  • Shopify — commerce, checkout, payments, order management, analytics, and email marketing. Shopify handles your information under its own privacy practices.
  • Shipping carriers — your name, address, and (where needed) phone number to deliver your order.
  • Our email and hosting providers — to run the servers this site runs on and to send and receive email.
  • Authorities and advisers — when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We keep our own use small and functional:

  • Cart. Your browser's local storage holds an identifier for your Shopify cart. A cookie named b78_cart_count holds just the number of items in your cart, so the cart icon can show it on every page. It expires after seven days.
  • Security and forms. Short-lived cookies protect forms (such as the contact form) against forgery, and keep staff signed in to the admin area. Visitors don't need an account.
  • Shopify. Shopify sets its own cookies for analytics, cart, and checkout. We don't control these; see Shopify's cookie information for details.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart may not work properly without them.

How Long We Keep It

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Order records are kept as the law requires. Email signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to help you and keep a record of our conversation, then deleted.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and multi-factor sign-in for our admin area, and payment processing by Shopify. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our store is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our kids' products (Little Branches) are purchased by adults; we do not create child accounts or collect children's data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or by contacting us.
  • Ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.
  • Ask us to stop using your information for marketing.

To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and some information must be kept for legal reasons. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

California Residents

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request that we delete or correct it; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To make a request, contact us using the email below. For product-related warnings, see our California Prop 65 page.

The site links to other websites, including our social media profiles and Shopify's checkout. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
